Power Up … Women Charging Up for a Fuller Life!
Presented by:
Dr. Priscilla V. Marotta, Ph.D.

Co-Author and cognitive-behavioral psychologist, Dr. Priscilla V. Marotta will talk about strategies from her book - “Power Up.” Power Up offers women specific strategies to learn that power is not a dirty word, to diffuse the power drains that undermine success, while teaching them how to build their Positive Power skills. Learn how to identify women’s many and varied misconceptions of power, reveal step-by-step techniques to reduce power-robbing messages learned as girls, and provide real-life profiles of women who went from “powerless” to promoted. Discover the unique talents women possess that make them natural-born leaders. Then master Power Up’s ten Positive Power Lessons to claim the life you love!

Welcome to the South Broward Chapter Website!

We represent ABWA, the America Business Women's Association. Our association, (one of the largest of its kind), is the educational and networking resource for professional women throughout the United States.
Since its founding in 1949 by Hilary A. Bufton, Jr. a Missouri businessman, ABWA has made a commitment to American working women - helping thousands of women fulfill their career dreams and lead a better more satisfying life. Mr. Bufton recognized the positive impact working women could have, and the need for a supporting organization to help reach their educational and career goals.
Through self-development programs, seminars, community involvement, and leadership training, ABWA provides opportunities for businesswomen to express their interests, achieve their goals, and receive well-earned recognition.
Today, ABWA's national membership is over 35000 members strong and continues to grow. There are chapters in every state, with three in Broward Country alone.
In the decades to come, the significance of ABWA's mission will become even more important. As the business world changes, and the businesswomen move on to even higher degrees of achievement, the American Business Women's Association will be there, providing the means the needs to succeed.
